On an EA 18s would be illegal.

18s would be the go... cos if u got 17s you then soon want to go larger...
18s are plenty big enough while still being practical...
possibly illegal.. chech with the rta..

i've got the 17's w/ superlow lovell springs - they fill out the guards very well, and everyone reckons they look like 18's anyways! :P

If the cops are pretty strict around your place i'd go the 17's.

I've been defected for 18's twice on my old EB.

Some 17's on early e-series look bigger anyway.

Tyres wise, I pay around $180-$200 for 235-45-17's
and around $220-$245 for 235-40-18
Thats a cash job
You can go a lot lot more expensive but thats about base for semi-decent treads.
