gday just wondering if anyone has removed the black side mouldings off the doors of a ba and cleaned up and left off one of my mates wanted to do it to his vt commonwhore the panelbeaters told him it was held on with urethane and that it eats into the paint when removed doors would need repainting was wondering if this was the case with the ba?

there is holes in the doors when you take the mouldings off

so basically im stuck with it unless i pay to get it bogged and resprayed was gonna cost my mate 200 a door without holes

Why don't you just remove them and have them painted body colour?

on my au2 it had black ones, i removed them and had them painted, then sikaflexed them back onto the car. Didn't cost much at all.
