hey guys,

just a quick one, recently and rather randomly my wheel bf 18" xr wheel centre caps have started breaking and falling out.

at first i thought someone had tried to pinch them when it was parked somewhere and damaged them in the process, but one in particular has broken twice now.

all up ive replaced 4 in the last 3 weeks (not only tedious but starting to add up $$$ wise too).

What happening is the little plastic clips seem to be snapping, until theres not enough to hold them in place and they just randomly fall out.

anyone else had this problem?

I havent had the issue with the 17" alloys on my XR6. I suspect it maybe the way they were removed when you had the tyres replaced or balanced, They may have been a bit rough tapping them out.

try a few dobs of silicon on the tabs before you clip them in - or just not have them in hehe

hmm, the wheels havent been removed recently.

theyve just randomly started breaking. might have to looking sticking them in, id rather not, but certainly not keen on replacing them every few weeks.
