Hi guys, can you help??

I've got a pretty standard 2002 BA Futura. I wanna drop the suspension and get some new rims.

As far as the suspension is concerned, could i just replace my springs with srings off an XR6? Would this be low enough?

yeah, but genuine xr6 springs will probably be more expensive than aftermarket ones.

Really? I was toying with the idea of trying to get my hands on a set of good condition second hand one's. Is that a bad idea?

my ba xt has second hand xr6t springs in it. It lowered the car about this much [<---->] cant really tell by looking at it but it improved the handeling a bit

Meh, buying second hand springs is a questionable idea, could be old as for all you know. Honestly, just get aftermarket stuff, that way you can get the ideal ride height you're after.

Nice 1, I'll probably get some aftermarket ones then. I thought if i could get some good condition XR6 springs that it coulld save me a few bucks.

How much work is involved in fitting springs? I figure its gonna be a pain in the a***.
I have no experience with working on cars, but i think i could do it. Is this foolish, should i just pay someone who knows what theyr'e doing? :?

Poser? Damn straight. :) If I could afford a real FPV I would buy one but considering I'm pov this is as close as I will get.
Whats the harm in promoting a brand I support?
should i be waving a big flag that says, BASE MODEL XT to all the smug HSV owners? i think not

unless you've got a very good quality spring compressor forget replacing the front springs yourself. BA Springs have a tendancy to go twang more so then most...
