funniest copper i had pulled me over in the Xr and this was before high comp head and extractors, but i had new 18's on it, mind you stock suspension so it looks like a 4x4. He tried telling me my car was unroadworthy and i laughed thinking he was joking not a good idea. Half an hour later of testing height and all staring at the engine bay blankly said your a lucky kid have a good night. p****d my self laughing all the way home that night, good to see my taxes at work. my suggestion is its the luck of the draw, so try and get at least an engineers certificate so ou can stick at least oe thing up their a#$ before they tell you to bend over.

i had police go over mine a few months ago, one cop reckoned that all pre SRS airbag and non ABS cars were a saftey risk, i just told them i only use it to get to work and anything they questioned me about like ride height and induction i just replied "i bought the car like that." :~)

Sorry to say mate, but with the way your car looks it'll only be a matter of time.

I wouldn't bother with the bonnet release idea, if they're gonna look for a turbo, they'll know what a cooler looks like.

As you say, just drive sensibly, and be polite if you do get pulled over - it works wonders!
