Hey all ..

well, up here we have had a lot of rain, and my boot tends to leak ..

Now, where its leaking from is, the catch (on the bootlid itself) so when you open the boot, it drips everywhere ..

Im pretty sure it does not leak around the boot seals, Anyone had problems with it getting into or behind the garnish? ..

It seems to build up in there, and then gushs out when you open the boot!

My old fairlane did that when it rained really heavily, never worked out where it was coming from thou, was very annoying indeed.
I tried removing lights/locks/badges n sealing them with silcon, didnt work too well, helped a little maybe..
Im at a total loss, when i bought the fbt i asked "have you ever had water leak in the boot after hard rain?" n was told he garentees it doesnt, goo so far :)
Sorry i wasnt any help, but try what i did, cant hurt.

i got the same in my AU and is has a small rust spot on the right hand side of the boot lid :(

all i can think of is it comes in from around the spoiler mounting holes....

i have now drilled a small 5mm hole to let the water drain out of the boot lid

Haha, I like it too; turn your boot lid into a fish tank, sounds like a Pimp My Ride type'o'thing.
