Hey, Just picked up a pair of 100/90 watt H4 Xenon globes, one of my old ones is busted.
Will I need to change a fuse to run these as the ones that are in there now are 55/60 watt (and not very bright!)

I hope not ... I just cleaned all the yellow off them.
Yeah they are H4's ...

I just dunno if they will heat up the wiring as the ones I pulled out were 55/60 watters and these are twice as powerful.
I hadnt even thought about them heating the plastic covers ....

Any advice ?? I wanna go change the bulbs now

i dunno, if i remember right Drone runs higher wattage hi beams, and uses them on highways and that and has never had an issue. but i guess if you use them in city and that were your cars going slower the headlights would heat up a lot more nad myabe melt?
as for the fuse, i'd put em in if it doesn't blow then it'll be fine, if it does, get a bigger one.

i know some of the globes i have seen, the packet says like 55/60w -> 100/110w.. no idea what that means? does it mean they are 55/60w and compare to a normal 100w halogen?

i got no clue what im talking about :D

nah this box was the last one on the shelf so i couldnt compare it to anything.

all the other boxes said 55/60w this is the only one that said 90/100w and 30% brighter then all the other globes.

These arent high beams either, these are normal low beams, and I drive with my lights on all the time so chances are they will be on quite often.

Most falcons don't as far as I know. I say that because there are far more GLi's and Futuras than there are Fairmonts, and the GLi's and that use two single filament globes!

As far as i knew, and if its the same as the EB, the inner lights are driving lights containing a single filament globe, while the outer lights are the headlights, containing two filaments. When switched fron low to high beam, the low beam filament on the outer light goes out, and the high beam filament comes on. The driving lights come on at the same time. As for me, i have 100/65W (i think?) globes in my headlights, 100W globes in the driving lights, and 100W globes in my spot lights which i put on the front. Nice wall of light when travelling at night!
