MICROFIBRE CARE TIPS

Microfibre technology has revolutionised the automotive polishing/buffing towel industry with it's superior scratch free performance, easy cleaning, no linting and drying power over conventional towels that look like a snow storm when used and can see straight through the towels

They have made cheese cloth obsolete and threatened the chamois very existance in the top end detailing market

The best microfibre towels are made in south korea
Chinese towels simply cannot compare and only sell due to price

Some of these korean towels contain 225,000 fibres per square inch and are not cheap

So extending their lifetime so you can keep on using the same bunch of towels on your car is very important

here are my cleaning tips

MACHINE WASHING

Earths choice liquid laundry detergent is my number one favourite for towels
it contains an extremely low amount sodium laureth sulphate (reduces plushness in towels, slickness in paintwork) and many other factors, is phosphate free and made with many natural resources

Warm water is best for them
Do not machine dry or leave to dry on outdoor clothes line (risk of airborne dust contamination and bird poo on them)

Once they have gone through the whole wash cycle, take them out and put on an indoor rack, one at a time

Put one towel on the rack and spray them liberally with either Aussie Gold Showroom sealer glaze spray, Driven to Perfection Quick spray concentrate or Prima Slick

There are many detail sprays that contain alcohol and engine coolant and these can affect the softness and plushness of the towels and attack the fibres

Once sprayed well (both sides), do again with each towel

Let them dry indoors and they will soon be ready to serve you again with superb performance

PLEASE NOTE : Do not treat waffle weave or other drying towels as the products will prevent the towels from being able to absorb water as efficiently

It may make the drying towels hydrophobic

Our range of microfibre towels from microfibre korea which none are waffle weave, are totally fine to treat with each wash

Happy Cleaning and motoring

Matt

It seems as though meguiars is out of stock, and won't have more in Australia until early next year

Even the meguiars website states out of stock
Our beloved Hans Hartman here at FM bought the last one in Australia just the other day

Well it is now getting close to the end of 2008
It has been a good year and I give a big thanks to all of the ford mods members for their business this year and in the past.

What's coming in 2009 from Dream Machines

This

http://www.glowridaz.com.au (not completed yet)

A joining of forces from Dream Machines and Dri and shine auto to provide the best detailing training clinic, products to buy and an online community forum for car lovers plus real world meets

And alot more as well.

Product lines

We will be continuing to add new product lines in 2009 however your favourites at the moment will remain and only get better

Driven to perfection, Prima, Lake country pads, Bilt Hamber clay bars, Menzerna, Toughseal, Aussie Gold Showroom sealant glaze, Style Magic waterwise car wash, Scuigare towels and many more

Flexipads - UK made superior pads for orbital and rotary polishers
Gloss it - 15 years in development. new age abrasives, not aluminium oxide which has been the norm. Used by Rich Light

http://www.graniteautogrooming.com

New Prima product - Nourish
Tuf Buff wool pads - the best wool pads available. no mess
and a few more.

New Detailing services at either of these shops

97 to 99 helps road burton, SA
319 south road mile end, SA

Orange peel reduction (permanent) without abrasives

Glare - paint, glass, wheel and interior treatment

Paint Burnishing and Jewelling aka slow speed polishing to glassify the clearcoat and bring the metal flake and all the colour back up

New tips coming
