anyone know any good car spray painters in melbourne??
cost to do a full re spray including engine bay, door and boot jams??

wanna change my ba from silver 2 black! but wondering if it is worth the $$$$$$$$

it is stock at the moment but am about to purchuse a typhoon kit so that will have 2 painted anyways so was thinking if it isn't that much to do the rest of the car i might aswell change it as i would prefer the car black!!!!

cheers guys. i know most people will say just sell it and buy a black one but as i am paying off a $20,000 loan and will loose money that way anyway, so need to weigh up the costs and c what woulkd b better!!

...if you want a full respray paint done properly with the engine bay, door and boot jams? you will be looking at about $8000+...most likely more IMO...so don't even bother. It would have cost me about $8000 to get my EL respray painted in black inside out with an EF XR kit (I'm putting the XR kit on myself) or $2000 for just a respray paint in the same colour.

but I'm not a professional so don't quote me.

thats about right as they have to do allot of work taking off bars and molds so they can paint behind them as well rip off door trims and so on, tear out 70% of the stuff in the engine bary wireing and such bugger of a job thats why they can charge you abit for doing it.

You can save heaps of money if you remove the engine and engine bay components, interior seats, dashboard, things in the boot and the lot and then tow it to the respray paint, they will probably slash the prices in half...and if you want to sand the car back to bare metal by yourself, then you will save even more...and just pay for paint and labour to paint.

If done fully by the panel beater...start emptying your pockets.
