Leroy must've been confused (parts interpreters don't know everything)  I went to get a bonnet protector for it and the xr lights are wider in the grille than the standard ones, the standard protector wouldn't fit! I had to get one from NZ (of all places)
Not to mention the hassle it was to get a XR bonnet when I got the car in an accident, the part number's are different.... (if you want proof, call up ford or just go somewhere that sell bonnet protectors, the ED xr is a different part). I'm not sure what other vehicles used the bonnet, but the reason people use the 'twin light' design, is because they don't have to spend a fortune (new bonnet and grille) just swap the lights over and be done with it! SEZZA, altho it's not my cup of tea, if you're happy, then I'm happy for you!
