As long as the wheels are pre au , all is fine with standard height suspension. If you get AU onward wheels , you will need 30mm adaptors for front, and 25 mm adaptors for rear.

I had this problem with mine , and with lower suspension as well.

whats the go with two diferent size adaptors? i just orderd a set and the bloke said nothing about thiner ones for the rear.

You can run both the same , but make sure it is the wider ones 30mm... the only reason for this is because the front tyre profile is slightly larger than the rears and thus , the tyre flex in corners can rub your top ball joint base on the arm...

The rears sit in the guards better with 25mm space and lowered.

Thats all , it is really up to the individual what you want to space your wheels at , but depends on how much you love your paintwork on your guards too...

Can some one please show me a picture of how an 18" wheel clears the upper ball joint?

I have seen pics on this site of cars with 18" wheels but I can not picture how it clears the upper ball joint

same way as any other wheel clears it.

rim size up, tyre ratio down.

when you put the 18's on, it shouldnt come any closer ot the ball joint than before.

it may get a little closer from the width, i got 235's and got about 1-2cm gap?

I only had to get the rear guards rolled for my 18s, my car only has lows, did it more just to be safe.
