Hi,
Had to make a choice yesterday and here it is. Its similar to Phantom. Its a dark blue with a dark purple pearl over the top, followed by plenty of clear. 
nicco, I'm spraying it at Mossman while on holidays, but yeah I'm the guy from engineering. I've seen your EF there. Might have to pick up some clear indicators aswell

Now give over with the details.... What is the colours used called ??? Is it Acrylic or 2 pak ??? What did the paint cost (4L) ??? Where did you get it mixed ??? Ummmmmmmmm , I guess thats enough questions ! I will shut up now....

Sorry about the late reply. The paint is by Debeer and consists of 1.5L of Berobase 500 'Undercoat Blue' and 2.5L of Berobase 500 'Phantom Pearl'. Along with 5L of clear and enough hardner to suit. The paints 2pak and you apply one coat of blue (depending on original colour of the car) to get enough coverage, then 2-3 coats of pearl followed by 2-3 coats of clear.
The only thing I've still got left to do is coat the whole exterior. The door sills, inside the doors and boot and the engine bay have been done. Just finished the front and rear bumpers this arvo. Its taking longer than I thought but its worth it. Heres a few pics.  (The weird reflection in the middle of the front bumper is from the black plastic and floodlights)

The total cost of the paint was $620. If there was some way of using your existing paint and add the pearl ontop it would be alot cheaper.

Hi Snickers ,
TOP JOB , and thanks for the reply. Is spraying 2pak very hard , or is it basically the same as spraying acrylics , except you need special breathing equipment , etc for the fumes ???? I have never given it a try , but as you can see from my photo , the old girl needs some special dress , she's too nude. The undercoat has been done before i picked it up , so thats why i am thinking I will have to go with 2Pak , because of this... What do you reckon ??? Guys , anyone out there in BlueOval land , your suggestions are really appreciated !
