There will be the two holes from the fairmont badge unless you have a wagon then there will be some black tape left there from the badges.

As Tony said, the "Fairmont" badge has 2 holes behind it. I removed the Fairmont badge on mine to replace it with a BA/BF styled badge and the paint was pretty much the same behind it. Also used the method of heatgun and fishing line to lever the badge off, then just wiped it with methylated spirits to remove all the sticky stuff from the paintwork.

The holes will have to be filled somehow if you want to do things "properly". Best bet would be to remove the beaver panel where the badges are and get the holes welded then bogged and then sprayed.

Not too sure if there will be holes behind the "Ford" badge as i haven't removed that one yet.

De-badged rear does look cool, a few people on here have done it and i reckon it looks great. If you are going to debadge it though, may as well do it properly and get the holes filled, and get it sprayed so it looks the part.

Check this link, towards the bottom there's a pic of the rear debadged.

Yep, you'll end up with 4 holes in the beaver panel, but after a cut n polish the paint should be exactly the same if your paints in good nic. IMO its worth pulling the panel out and getting it done by a pro, wont cost too much to get the holes filled and the panel resprayed. I had mine done when the car got a full respray (as well as deleting the boot lock), makes the back end look much neater for sure.
