Low/Mid series got the vents, but they are different to the High series.

The low/mid are their for looks and are recessed into the bumper, they sit around 1-2 inches in, where as the high series vents are their in place of cornering lamps, and sit flush with the front of the bumper. Basically you can pull the high series vents out and slot the corner lamps in, but the cornering lamps wont fit low/mid series.

how the hell are they brake ducts?? arnt they just inserts for the people who didnt wanna pay for the cornering lamps when they came out new??....anyways, as in pic, i got the cornering lights and there aint nuthin behind them to indicate ducting of any sort....

but in answer to the question about gli's and futura's etc etc having them, no, they dont have anything there, its all blanked off...only fairmont's, ghias and maybe xr's had them....for those who don't like the lights.....

Quite right they are not real brake ducts, however they are made to appear as brake ducts.

I can confirm hat the 97 EL Fairmont has them in lieu of cornering lamps and there are no ducts behind the inserts, just open space behind the bumper which conceivably could help cool the brakes slightly

unlikely as there should be black plastic lining the wheel archs that would stop the air from flowing through to the brakes. personally I've hacked holes in that lining.
o, also i wasn't interested in weather the fairys had them, that was well established, but thanks anyways.

and just for anyone who gives a toss, i got 2 brand new ones from Fraud Spare Parts (Tilford to be precise) for $30.00 in the natural black plastic colour (which is great as I was gunna paint them black anyways).
