As you all know the EB GT has two side vents and the large oval scoop in the centre. I am aware that the centre scoop was designed to lower under the bonnet temperatures.

Does anyone have a theory on why the scoops where designed like they were, as a fair bit of research and development must have gone into it!
The side vents seem to serve no purpose.....

here is a pics for those interested in what under the bonnet of a EB GT looks like

only thing I could think of is the side might direct air flow down near the brakes or to provide better aerodynamics if they had that in mind.

what ive heard from others is the centre scoop is opened front and rear to let air flow threw and circulate in the engine bay and side vents are what they say (vents) to help vent heat

Do the side vents have a water catch like the EF XR's?

If so, they do nothing. They are there for aestectics only.

Well I have a magazine somewhere that previewed the EB GT at release, and it was stated that Ford designers said that every scoop had to be functional.

The reason I ask this is I have a bonnet that is going on my car that already has the EB GT style vents and have just purchased a centre scoop cheap to go on the bonnet as well and cut it like the above picture

If they don't serve a MAJOR purpose other than keeping the engine cooler, would I be better cunning a CAI system from a side vent (the vent is facing the other way to get ram air) or the centre scoop?
