I have been contemplating putting a front bar on me ef. You guys think it would look ok as just a stand alone?
ALso intend to remove the red xr colour code.

JFYI, that's the CCS one AFAIK...it was for sale on carsales.com.au not too long ago...dunno if it's still on there now though.

Scott - I was looking at kit for my wagon at one stage...but I honestly don't reckon it's worth it - I'd go lower if anything over kit...must admit, I was tempted by the tickford style sideskirts and front lip....but the rear replacement bar (as seen on SSV) looks terrible IMHO. Of course each to their own though :)

Cheers,
Steve

I think I'm just going to add the front skirt, which will bring the front bar to the same level as the sides of the car, which are currently lower and the rear spoiler (dust deflector) for the moment. After that, well if I've got cash and nothing better to spend it on, but I doubt that!

Sorry to hijack the thread..

Anyone know of a place in Melb i can get the the front, and side skirts from. Also the back bar?

Im not too keen on replacing the whole front bar. As IMO the Fairmont front looks better with the lip, then the XR front...

Any costs as well? Im thinking around 800-900 for the skirts, front lip and back...

in essence, its all the same design really anyways - i can't see why the EL skirts wouldn't match with the EF front & rear bars - they dont actually meet in any place, so its not like you are going to have any problems there at all...

deffinately should be able to be modified to suit.
I can't imagine AU Fairlane ones being too far different to BA ones.
shortening them isnt too hard :)
