3 grand is what I was told by fibresports to make the mould, about 8 months ago just after it became fibresports. 18 months ago the company was called AWC and was run by differant people. Wayne the new guy at fibresports (previously AWC) told me that it costs around $3000 to make the mould, that's why I need to find 10 people at 50% deposit. ie $3xx by 10 = $3xxx
I may be wrong but you seem upset, theres no need for that, its available now and that's all that matters. Carbon fibre or fibre glass its up to you, personally I will be sticking with the fibre glass one because I intend to have mine painted and see no real advantage to a carbon fiber one. $1400 for a bonnet that takes at least 3 days to make (setting time and everything like that) as oppossed to a bonnet that takes 1 day I think is a fair price, the carbon fibre looks really cool so if you are chasing that look, this bonnet would be perfect for you. Let me know what you want to do? I'm unsure about the clear coat on the carbon fibre bonnet you might want to ask Wayne at Fibresports about that.

I;m not upset, was mearly just pointing out the discrepancies.
When the bonnets and done and listed I;kk be buying a carbon fibre one. |

most likey keep the xr vents just to keep my top air feed,not so sure about the skulls though! as had other ideas for that

i made a Ba version on my ef fairmont 8 months ago i cut the bonnet on three sides,lifted,rolled & fully welded sides. Was a lot of work but ended up with a all steel bulge & the under side looks Ba. only problem i really had was fitting the braceing back under the bonnet to stop the movement, will post a photo when i figure how to. After 8 months of everyday use no cracks have appered yet.
