yeah,, probably right.. was looking at a stripped EF the other day, wasn't paying attention though..

I could just mod an EF bumper to fit and keep the guards.. I'd have to glass in that step the EF/EL has at either end of the bar, and either cut the grill section or remove the bottom of the EA-ED grill and make something snazzy from scratch.. that is kind of an appealing idea too.

looking though fordforums now, can't find his writeup.. he seems to own an EF.

Well it looks good from the front because it looks like an EF...but does it compliment the rear end?

I like the rear end of EF's like I like the south end of a north bound hippo.. which is to say not much at all.

The EA-ED series had a nicer rear.. this way you get the best of both.

too much rounding is bad.. that was the lesson we all learned from the AU.

I personaly wouldnt use a standard ef bar, I'd go the EF/L Fairmont top & the BA/F XR/GT/Typhoon bottom job thats currantly getting around for sale.

I wasn't thinking of a standard EF bar either, I was thinking more of the XR6 EF or EL bumper and lights..

look at the BA... it has a curvy front with a sharp edged rear.. so does the VE actually..

modern trends are a combination of squarish and rounded..

Fabz.. you can read the whole thread and see all the pics here:

I took a screen shot from the drive by vid on the fordforums thread.

I don't think they went far enough.. would look better if the triming flowed though, and the rear bar was ef as well.

still, it's catching.
