Greetings peeps,

Anyone out there who owns an EF will know that yellow headlights are all part of the standard package, so a certain brightspark, me, thought he could have a go at cleaning them up. My panel beater gave me a tub of what looked like a really strong cutting compound and said to rub a little on each light and then buff it off, so I did, bam, yellow began disapearing, woohoo, I says. Anyways, I noticed that there was still a heap of hardened grime on the lights that made them look a little crappy, so I thought I'd have a go at lifting it with steelwool, and while it did succeed in cleaning all the gunk off, my headlights are now covered in fine scratches that, up close, look just as crap as the grime and sun damage.

TBH, I'm not really that phased by it all as the car looks a whole heap better when you look at it from a metre or so, but when you take a close look at those lights, you can really tell the person who cleaned them had no idea what he was doing. What I now need to know is, does anyone have any tips for buffing my lights up to their former glory? I was tempted to try a really fine grade wet sandpaper as I have had great results with that and metal, but this is plastic, something I have not idea about. So any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.
