Hey Guys im new to this site.

I have a 1994 EF Futura on standard shocks/springs.

I am getting a set of FPV Cobra 18's to go on and im looking at lowering onto King Springs SL's front and back, question is will the rims be too large to fit under the guard after i lower the car down???

Also will SSL's fit also with the 18's???

Any info Helps

Thanks Grego

PS any pics of EF's on 18/19 with SL/SSL would be great

Depends on the tyres size and the offset. Are they Pre-Au copies? If not then you just have to have the right spacers to achieve +6 offset iirc. I've only ever had 235/40's on my old 18's and they fitted fine with 5mm to spare under the balljoint. I now have 235/35/19's and its closer but still fine mate and my springs are the equivelant or lower then SSl's.. They 'were' Sl's..

Yeah they are Pre Au Silver Cobra Copies 19x8 in either 18 or 19 dunno yet. Getting them from wheelmags.

I will probaly stick with SL's but its good to know that i can go SSL if i like.

Thanks for the reply

Grego
PS the car looks good with Typhoons

Go with the superlows mate, if its the first time you've lowered a car you will be over the moon. I drove mine about 9 months standard and when I put superlows in, I was actually worried it was too low, 6 months on again and it wasnt low enough so I cut em to what I wanted, cut springs = bogan but Ive had no problems and with lowered shocks the ride is fine.

Too be honest mate, when my cars a weekender Im gunna have a go at getting it lower, I dont mind a bit of scrubbing but from what I can see underneath it would involve dropping the exhaust at the diff as it already hits with a person in the back and the right revs or in reverse, just taps against the diff and it cant go any higher. Also a scuff mark on the chassis where it goes up and over the axles... must of hit a decent bump at one stage.. :|

Good luck with it mate... you'll be happy whatever the outcome. Really.
