hey people,
whats the best way to take the rear bumper of an EF Falcon, meaning where are the screws located so i can get to them?? |

lift the boot carpet... and either side of the chassis member you will see 4 rubber grommets... pop them off to reveal 4 large bolts... undo them completly....
Then just side the wheel arch behind the rear tyre you will find a bracket that has a screw holding up the corners of the bumper where it meets the wheel arch... undo the screws and the corners will drop down and should be able to slide the rear bumper off.. (standing at the back of the car gently pulling the rear bar backwards)... |

My 95 EF Futura was a massive pain the a*** to switch bumpers on.
All of the mounting points are easily identified as you work your way around, though. If it's not coming off pretty easily, you've missed one. |

i got all the boot carpet out no dramas, just cant find these rubber gromets.... can anyone be more specific on where they are???

at the sides of the boot there should be a step up on either side.
on the side of where it steps up there should be the rubber gromets. also worth mentioning there is often a couple of rivets holding the bottom of the rear bar to to wheel well.

yeah i found it haha, but just wondering how many bolts on each side there is. iv got the 2 on each side out, the ones that a facin the side of the car.
but in the rear gromit hole there is also a bolt on each side facing the rear of the car?? do they need to be removed... the look impossible to get out haha |

ok well iv got the bumper off, but i am removin the tow bar, i was just gonna cut it off, haha because i didnt know how it was mounted on, but now than the bumper is off, i can see that it has a solid bar that runs horizontal accros the back end of the car and is just bolted on. can i just un bolt the whole thing or is that horizontal bar used for anything else???

nope that will be for the tow bar undo those and your home and hosed
