Finally got the xr conversion done (apart from bonnet, but thats coming shortly) Thanks to green machine for painting it up, and greenmachine and fordfreak for helping fit it up and do some slight tweaks to get it all to fit. (indicator wiring clashed with the front bracket on the inside of the guards!)

Good work, does the bonnet close properly?
If it does that would be a good air intake with the standard EL Falcon bonnet. :o

troy customised the blinker wiring harness.. as the stock EL GLI ones were fouling up the installation/fitment of the XR indicators..

And i used a JIG SAW to trim down the EL gli front crash bar so it would have enough clearance underneathe the xr round lights when installed in the XR bar...

no offence intended.. but was a pretty straight forward job.. have looked in the tech doco in the past...

Way to go wade, each time i see your car there is something new and it just seems to get better and better.

well done matt and gooneibird, oops i meant green machine, nice paint work and lucky for us matt you had the boxers on and saved us from an overdose of crack.

Wade you just need a new bonnet and side skirts, and put the front lip on.

thanks guys. I've ordered a new bonnet today from ford, $275 incl. Should be here tomorrow, and be on the car, in all its black primer glory, ready for the cruise.

yeh, the bonnet shuts just fine. Just that massive gap from the old grill. Bit of mesh in there for something different lol.
