How do i make my red strip moulding thing go back to red - it is faded and pink. I use armourall and it looks red for about an hour. Is there any way to permanently make these things stay red.

Have done a few E series XR red stripes lately

First off, clay them and use isopropyl alcohol as the lubricant for it
I use an EDGE 2000 blue foam polishing pad attached to my makita rotary and buff at 900-1000 rpm using a light cutting compound and then vanilla moose hand glaze
The moose is an oxidation remover that can be used on rubber seals exterior trim plastics and vinyl and to remove scratches and add wetness and shine to paintwork.

Last car I did was an EF tickford xr6 wagon cobalt blue
Menzerna Powergloss compound by machine
Vanilla moose by hand with foam applicator pad
Autoglym bodyshop 07B
Klasse Sealant glaze x 3 coats

Thing to do with them is seal with a paint sealant multiple times
What causes them to go pink is some shampoo's that are too high in the ph level. Should be ph 7 and wash rinse water
Due to the material used for the stripes, water causes spots that then need vanilla moose to remove them.

Once the box of vanilla moose arrives from USA in a few days - a week, It's $16 dollars a bottle (500ml)
That will last anyone quite a reasonable amount of time
Powergloss is available from HWimports, crash supplies (SA) and other paint and panel supply shops
Check HWImports.com.au

Autoglym is $30 per 1 litre bottle, Edge 2000 pads are around $30-35 per pad.

No one else in australia has clearkote but there should be autoglym distributor around there somewhere in WA

HW imports are in western australia.
Depending on condition, they may be rescued by hand application
