stay with the EF ones - IMHO they look a s**t-load better than the EL ones - but each to their own! if i had an EL, i'd throw the EF taillights onto it ASAP! :P

The clean suit luxury models imho, the orange suit tough cars, but still look good with the clear.
Id do clear no matter what ef/el i got - mine only come in clear anyway; thank fkn god!

Being a Fairmont I'd leave the clear ones on too. Looks better with the chrome garnish.

it seems like it went from the EF design, being completely different from the ED, then they tried the orange with clear on the ELs, again on the series 1 AUs and by the series 3 AU it had gone back to the EF design...

EF Gli's / Futuras / Fairmonts / Ghias / XR's etc all got the clear tail light indicator lenses.

EL Gli / Futuras and XR's got the amber indicator lenses - personally, I can't say whether one or another look better - I used to be of the opinion that the yellow lenses looked rank and the clears were the way to go...but now I reckon it totally depends on the colour of the car.

The amber lenses look crap with chrome IMHO --> looks ordinary on EL Fairmonts and Ghias (lucky Ford didn't go too far into the higher series in the EL's !)...but looks alright on EL XR's in say Navy Blue, Hot CHilli Red, Oxford Green and Poly green (did they do Poly green in the EL XR's??). I believe the amber breaks things up a bit...but of course each to their own :)

Cheers,
Steve
