I am chasing an upgrade over the standard lights. I am looking for a replacement that will fit into the existing location and provide a better spread of light.

Yikes, dont put spotties on your beast aaron - looks sexy as is, dont wreck it!

Id reccomend looking into some type of xenon light kit which is avail.

i think i seen some on ebay last time i looked - not sure on suitability or price, an idea anyway.

Cheers -

theres no direct swap which fits 'perfectly' in - although i;d imagine it would be an easy-ish job to fit a surround of some type to get it looking good.

i have Hella FF-50 Comets in my front brake duct vents -

back in the dark old days when it had a *cringe* std front end...

Yea I would love a set of driving lights for my Fairmont too... not cornering lights.
Wire them up to a rear wiper switch and bingo!

Considering the topic was "EL Fairmont Ghia Driving Lights", im guessing they are for Aaron's wifes Ghia, not his XR. Does the car currently have the cornering lamps, or the brake duct vent covers? In either case, with some measuring and fabrication im certain you could find a set of lights that fit fairly well. I remeber seing a picture on here at some stage where the middle bar of the brake duct cover had been cut out and moulded to nicely fit a set of driving lights.

The high-series ELs retained the same basic front-ends from their EF counterparts so, unlike the GLis, the brake duct holes should still be there allowing you the brake duct/cornering light holes should still be there - assuming of course it still has the factory front-end.

Yes it's for LISA's Ghia not mine. I am very happy with my front end )and my rear and and most of whats in between for that matter)

It has lights in the same place as madmax picture...
