Hey guys, i replaced my EL tail lights with the EF version awhile ago but i couldnt find an amber globe with a straigh pin arrangement at the time, so had to buy a clear one and use globe paint to make it amber. My problem with it is that its not very amber and quite dull, so i bought an amber LED globe, one with about 20 or so LED's on it, but thats almost impossible to see during the day.
So what suggestions do u guys have for me? I just wanted a more vibrant/brighter colour but the LED's only seem to be good at night.

i swaped my EL lights for EF ones and i found the globes at the first shop i went too.
did you try a few shops?

go get a set of looms out of a EF or AU as they have the holders for the orange globes......

simple swap over, plugs just inside the boot area each side.

Thats true, i think they'll be pretty hard to find though, most of the tail lights etc for EF/EL's are gone at my local u-pull-it, might have to try some wreckers maybe

just buy the right globes mate.
hell i live in a country s**t and i found the right amber globes for the EF lights and used my original EL loom.
no need to be changing looms or anything
