I'll post photos of them tomorrow if ya like?

They aren't necessarily "fake". It's just that they have a plastic catch tray under the vents, therefore blocking 99% of any air that may have got through.

You could quite easily cut the plastic tray to inhance the amount of air getting into the engine bay. Not sure if this would be beneficial???

Not a problem. I'm at work at the moment. Don't know what time I'll be home (stocktake  ). I'll post them then. Diaz!

Nice looking car  . Just wondering about the Tickford snorkel. Is It an AU or an EL one. I bought an AU one on e Bay and It didn't fit. It wouldn't clear my powersteering pulley.

The idea of the original scoops is to remove air out of the engine bay

then why do they have a box underneath blocking airflow? the idea of the vents was to make the car look aggressive

thats what i thought, but if you put them on the other way around, and cut the bottom out, surly they'll suck air in??

its the AU XR snorkel.. and yes it dosnt fit to begin with.. it requires some modification. you can use a heatgun to heat it up and bend it to clear the pulley, or i didnthave one so i did the Homer simpson method and baked it in the oven till it was soft enough to bend and manipulate, then just drilled some new holes a little further up from the original mounts, so it remained a clearance on the pulley.
