Hey Fellas,

Thinking about putting an aftermarket exhaust system on my BA 6cyl Monty soon and I was wondering if any you guys have any clips of what they sound like. If ya post one up can you also state what the system is made up of.

Cheers

Hey GyzmO have you checked out some of the BA's on youtube?

Had a few reads of the posts on fordforums bseries section? Dont quote me on this but the way to go if you have a bit of a low budget you can usually get an xr8 cat back or xr6 turbo catback which is a twin 2½ system for under $200, which is a very similiar system to what the more expensive $700+ systems are using from what I can tell.

I got my xr8 catback exhaust fitted to my ghia 5.4L on friday, the exhaust dude cut the rear muffler off and welded some pipes to cover the gap, cut up the rear bumper a lil, but it sounds quite good when I rev it but drones when im cruising through low gears.

Rest of the car is stock as a rock for the moment :(

I'm planning on getting a whole new system, Mandrel bent 2.5 system (prob muffler and resonator), high flow cat and pacie extractors.

Thanks scotsman missus was inside with the tap running and heard it, so may be a bit too loud. Funny how it sounds different through the camera, but it does sound awesome when revved up like that.

GyzmO if you got the money then buy all means for it, make sure its stainless steel system though too.

How bout replacing the muffler with a hotdog setup? The cats on the 5.4L's are said to be just as good as high flow cats, I dont know if thats also applied to the I6 engines too, but you should look into it, as many have said there's no difference between a high flow cat and the stock cat. Might save you some $$'s :)
