I got a quote from an exhaust place and I asked the guy there is extractors would make it sound louder and he told me it wouldnt.

So, you think I should remove the muffler and not have anything at all? Is that legal and roadworthy?

Extractors give depth to a note.

As for removal of rear muffler, it's fine and legal. It's the one located in the rear wheel arch, right hand side.

In regards to $800, that's a mint sytem you'd be getting. Hi Flo and top class exhaust! Ther would only be a smallish difference whether it was mandrel bent or not. Same goes with a hi flow. It is after all, a street vehicle with a few mods, so don't get all wet thinking you're going to go to the moon with it! :D

with a mandrel bent system it would be better for him if he decides to do mods later like cam and head work.

mate sezza is a chick.... : P

Oops my bad sorry.

Well, I wanted the licence plates SEZZA for my car, but they were taken and Id seen them around and I asked for the owner of the car and it was a guy. Sezza came from his last name which was a nick name to him.

Its a nick name to me aswell coming from Sarah, so, yeah.

Tell the shop you want Pacemaker 4480. 2.5" Mandrel bends, 2.5" High flow cat, 1 Loud lukey muffler. Will sound good with that. i had this system on my 3.9L

I have to agree, Although the system on my ED was 4499's and a punched out cat, but 2.5" Mandrel bent with a single Lukey, sounded good, and went pretty well too

i actually had a Mix up lol i had 4499's on the EB i NOW run 4480's on the ED... yes its a nice Torquey upgrade with a nice sound the 4480's gave me a noticable mid-top end increase.

I think I need to some how 'hear' some cars and when I find a sound I like, I should ask the person what they did to get it.

Otherwise Im gonna be stuck.

I've got a 2.5" Lukey exhuast with only 1 box, and I think it sounds bloody sweet as. I havent heard a lot of other 4.0s, but compared to my mates VR *coff* V6 with 1 box, 2.5 and 3" exhuast, mines louder, lower, and a better note, and thats not just my opinion either.

If I remember tomorow I'll take a vid recording of it.
I'm getting extractors on shortly, probably next week, and then I'll take a recording of that and compare.

Its mostly 2.5, but it has a straight bit of 3" from the cat back to around the diff I think, and he's got extractors.
Its one of the best sounding Commo V6s I've heard actually... Sounds nothing like the Commos with canons bout the place - and theres a few to compare to.
