whats the best way to re attach the exterior side moldings on a eb ed falcon?

3M double sided tape. make sure the panel is super clean, and have the double sided tape on the moulding and car warm to help adhesion, leave them in the sun for a while
and if u never need to take them off again use some urethane at each end just to make sure |

I'm not a fan of the double-sided black tape some people use. I found Sikaflex sticks things down well. After you run a bead along the back of the moulding(s), cleanoff the excess and hold it in place with masking tape overnight.

I used a 3M double sided tape to reattach the side strips on my old LTD.
Never had an issue with the tape, I'd recommend it over any type of glue, including Sikaflex. I found when I originally removed them that some were attached by a Sikaflex-like substance (the car had been repaired after a minor crash by the owner before me) and it's a real bugger to remove.. Also the other side strips that weren't affected by the other owners accident were side stuck on solid by the tape that was on at the factory over 20 years ago. Tape is very good when applied properly. Just make sure you don't use some cheap Chinese crap..

all sorted cheers for the relpys i went and got some automotive double sided tape and have just applied it while the side of the car has been in full sun.
