put some el xr8 vent's (factory part's) in the bonnet of the NC. since the extractors have gone on under hood temps have been way to high. with the vent's in I can hold my hand on the upper manifold for nearly 10 secs after a long drive before the vent's 1 sec before squeel like a girl burned. :o

Don't think it look's to rice. and i'd wager there arn't to many genuine curvy xr vents on the ironing board bonnet of an NC floating around. lot's of filling and sanding. wouldn't recomend. all I need now is a nice rear wing some form of cornering light's ( cant see much to the side even on long sweepers. I'm guessing the road is that way.)

looks alright on the car, tho the bonnet on a whole looks crap (if it was more flat would look 10x better)

Heh, i dont mind it; not that id do it as it would be a lot of effort to fit them to that bonnet.
I never reall ylooked at how LONG n FLAT the Nseries bonnets are, lol.
Its like my spoiler, 75% of people say no way, but truth is the holes were there when i got the car, dont wanna spend 700 on removing a spiler which i rekon looks nice from some angles n meh from the others.. something different.

LOL!

Sorry, they just look so out of place, but if they do the job that's all that counts!

the towl rack on the front as saved the front bumper on lot's of gutters and driveways and was there when I gotit plus it makes the car a nice even 94feet long.

The grill is functional on the nc's although i'd much prefer a LTD grill ooooo shiny and cromelike.

thanks for the feedback.

the EL vents dont suit the squared off bonnet...... a set of sierra vents would've looked better IMO

Mate good one you for doing it youself i know how much of a bastard bonnet are after doing my BA buldge, it doesnt look that bad, looks like you have done a good job. If it helps your car then im guessing it was worth the work, how long did it take you?

g'day cobber

all up I recon it took 12 -15 hours spread out over a couple of weeks. slowly filing the curve out of the vents took forever and is still not perfect the next step is to respray the whole bonet and level it all out.

am tentativly looking at a new project in molding the lower part of a fairmont bumper so I can incorperate some cornering lights as NC's don't look around corners to well.
