Hey all,
I have a black ba futura, the bottom bas has covers over where fog lamps would be fitted (as an option i presume). Does anyone know roughly how much they would be? Is ford the best place to buy them from and what would be involved in fitting ie: would they have their own switch?
Thanks heaps

The lights on the ba are cornering lamps, they are activated when you indicate, (so no switch for them) and also have the headlights on.

The earier ba had the lower lights fitted as parking lamps and turned on when you turned the parkers / headlights on.

In either case I am pretty sure that they only run 5watt bulbs so not very bright.

I guess ford would be the best place to get some from, unless a their is a wrecker around that has a set, most likely from a ba ghia.

the bottom light where originally driving lights but they didn't confirm to ADR's rules so they where recalled and changed to corner lights instead, Ford would be your best bet.

Im pretty disapointed, i really thought they were driving lights as when i had my EL Fairmont the cornering lamps were on more of an angle on the front bar where as the BA lights seem to be straight ahead? Also i was following a BA F/mont Ghia the other day which had the lights on?
If anyone has any solotuins, id love the advice.
The round stainless lights on the new Fairmont are nice but wont fit the BA bar apparantley.

The fairmont ghia that you saw probably had the earlier lights.

These lights are turned on by simply turning on the parkers, since they are connected up instead of the parkers, the parker globes are removed when the lights are fitted, and plugs put into the standard positions, the wiring is also extended by changing the loom to a longer one.

I have the early lights on my BA wagon (factory fitted), ford seemed to have missed quite alot of cars when they did the recall.
