did you paint the door moulds and bumpers yourself? or did you get them done at a spray joint? if so, did they charge you much as I want to do the exact same thing! Looks great by the way!

Also, does anyone know if an EB grill can go on an ED? Twinlights look good on an EB because of the grill which is similar to the XR Grill, but the ED grill is crap, and would look ridiculous with the twinlights.

Yeah painted myself, still yet to give the stuff a good polish though.
And yeah, I can confirm an EB grille will fit on an EB.

Cheers for the replies peeps.

Looks good. Those twinlights don't look good on the EF/EL range, but looks okay on that EB.

That looks mint! Great job. Huge difference, with only a few little things. What would colour-coded side mirrors look like?

Yeah, I might give the mirrors a go! Didn't really think of those. Might get some EF/EL mirrors first though.

With the qaurter windows, I just went out and checked and it appears they are glued in

Well the EB I have in my shed has some fairly dark tint, if I swap the four windows over - how hard is it for a tint place to match it for the quarter windows and back window? And also, how much you reckon it would cost just to do those bits?

i can confirm that the quarter windows on the EBs are sikaflexed in...i had to break mine te get into my car & it was a C*** to get the glass out, even with all the glass smashed...i got a guy who worked for a window mod to do a remove & refit for 30 bux - cashy on the side (coz ive got a spare car). The shops wanted like $110 bux to do a R&R.....it would prolly be cheaper (or at least the same to just get them tinted....

The EA grill would look even better as it has no ford badge in the middle

Theres not a lot to it really.

I only used Spray packs, they turned out OK.
I did the following:

Gave all the side moulds a light sand with 400 w&d
Gave it all a really good clean with metho and a clean rag
Masked all the car up with newspaper and masking tape
Also took care to mask up the red strip
Sprayed a few light coats of plastic primer
Sprayed a few coats of Platinum Silver Paint (you go buy your colour paint obviously lol)
Once that was well and truly dry I gave it a rub back with 1200 w&d
Then I proceded to give it a few coats of clear coat
After it was all dry I got out the old polish and got it nice and smooth and glossy.

Cheers.
