Can a stock standrd GLI front bumper be used for the bottom half of a EF XR6 front bumper. Got a good XR nose cone and Lip spoiler but the middle section of bar is damaged.

pretty sure you can, IIRC the XR bar bottom half is the same as GLi.

Yes, I thought the bottoms where the same, now im thinking more about how the two pieces attach to each other and what mods it requires, is there material to be taken out for the XR lights to fit properly and how Do you attach the two pieces together.

EF GLi bar only tho :)

I Know the XR nose cone has little clips that clip into the bottom half of the bar, But i think the GLi one is a full piece? Other wise i dont know what to put them together with.

factory ef/el xr bars are gli lowers that have been hacksawed by someone in the factory.

i recently bought an el xr front bar, and the lower was f**k like yours. I ripped off the top off you can see the saw marks where they cut it out. i'm just going to get hold of a fresh gli bar and use the old one as a template.

if you've got the damaged lower, just rip it off the top and then use it as a template

Cool, I can start ripping things apart now and hopefully there are some of those clips that OMSR EL mentioned still left on my XR bar.

Thanks but i pulled it all apart today, I need another black support piece mines damaged. There is a bit of work to be done to attach the standard GLi bar to the EF nose cone with the three screw ponts on either side not there and no clip holes in the standard bar, cutting the top of the bar to suit the nose cone should be reasonably easy though.
