ok so i got XR lights from a guy of AFF, they have HID's attached, ive put it all in plugged all the bits together, but i only get the center lights working when i turn high beams on, i don't get the outer lights at all. im not sure if the 2 HID box's are meant to connect in anyway. i cant see how they could, as the cables ain't that long. so yea im kinda stuck.

also with mounting the grill i know i need brackets for the bottem but with the top mounts will i need to drill holes?

not really, that simply solves the problem of them turning off, mine wont turn on at all. im guessing the inside lights are low beams? and outside are high?

ok well that makes me more lost.... so i can only get high beams, ( atm i swapped the plugs so my high beams are on first) means i haven't set the HID's in right.

anyone set up HID's before that can give me some idea?

I think you'll find that the combination switch on the XR's is wired differently.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me when I swapped my ED XR combination switch out (it was broken) for a fairmont ghia one. I had normal globes, so I don't think it has anything to do with the HID's.

I think you might have to wire the relay on the low beams up to the high beams as well so that you get them on at the same time as the high beams...... I never got around to doing it to mine before I sold it tho.....
