very good! i thought genuine versions were only as big as 19 inch?? so being a copy and 1 inch larger is great news..

Yeah iwas having a look at these on ebay. There is another seller who sells them for $950 but are advertised as GRAPHITE colour? Is this a different colour the normal dark agent charcoal? Because i want a set
 (of the charcoal that is)

The set for $950 is the 19" version - not the 20" version
Add looks exactly the same, same pic but they are 19"

i would be wary to be honest.
adding an extra inch in diameter to the original spec, the whole design of the wheel needs to be "re-engineered" to make it keep its strength do you think these chinese companies making the cheap copies, would have done this? |

I meant to say 19" but the ones im talking about are specifically advertised as GRAPHITE colour and have a different pic and a totally different in shdes of grey, and are by done a different seller. Im trying to work out if they actually ARE a different colour or is it just a dodgy pic he put up and they are actually the normal dark agent charcoal colour. One seller is onlinealloysdirect and the other is darewheels online.

All wheels sold in Australia would have to comply with adrs, cheap or expensive. You will find is they will be very prone to denting, as i have found out with my gtp 19's copys, fixed once already and stuffed again, bad Sydney roads and tight a** rta.. |

What about THESE ones? im not dismissing every single copy rim out there as i have no idea what standards theyve passed, but i do like to make people aware of the possiblity of their cheap flash rim being something that is not made to a certain spec...... |

Ricks EF Wagon had a thread about his mates Holden V8 ute where one of the wheels fell apart... Apparently he was charged $4000 for the wheels as an optional extra by the dealer and he got a rim falling off basically... Here it is....

You know they take all our old alloy wheels (they pay a little extra for clean alloy wheels by the container load) and dump them into a big fire and pour them into molds to make these rims..... Thing is, if you expect them to be tested and passing all the road test regulations you're probably dreaming.... Go ask your local Government agency just what stickers or stamps of approval they put on rims they have tested... And then ask how many they've tested... And then ask yourself how many sets of cheapish rims are for sale nowadays... Is pretty hard to tell if you have copies or the real deal I guess... And even you have copies --- Maybe you should look long and hard at the amount of meat you're buying...! |

After seeing those rims I will never buy a set of copies. Imagine driving at high speed and one of your wheels s**t itself..............faarkkkkkkkkkk!!

i'd say most those rims have copped a hard knock on a curb or whatever, and the poor quality of the wheel has let it fail completely instead of buckling

In the above Holden example you can see the marks in the road that the rotor or axle bottom has left in the tarmac as this guy came to a stop. With some modification, I imagine this could be an effective braking method.
