there's a small triangle with 1 screw in it undo that and pop it off be careful though as it's easy to brake the clip but not the end of the world without it.
then if I remember correctly the a cap/plug thing about 3" below that just pops out the door trim then 3 screws hold the mirror on that and 1 plug.
5 minute job.

If you mean the actual mirror itself and not the whole assembly, it is clipped on. To remove mine I moved it in towards the car using the power mirror switch then pushed it in manually as far as I could. Then I very carefully pried it off from the far (away from the car) side in toward the door to disengage the 2 clips on that side, then did the same again from the near side. The clips themselves are only small plastic pieces of s**t fixed to the back of the actual mirror, so be very careful not to break them. Took me weeks to find a replacement L/H mirror when mine fell off.

Good info
Yeah for the mirror itself, when you did the same for the nearside clips, do you use the power mirror switch to turn it "outwards" from the car, to do the inner mirror clips?

No, it just came off with a bit of gentle wriggling. The reason I used the switch to move it in the first place was to avoid stripping the plastic gears that drive the mirror, maybe overkill, but better safe than sorry.
