i went and saw it yesterday arvo after it had been baked and, well, i was surprised, the "broken side" is soo much better than the "good side", today it is being put back together and having the new suspension put in.

im a little worried about the suspension tho. cam (hightek) said that because of my gas tank i should get super low front and low rears, i hope it looks flat, and not like a 70's racecar.

i get it back around 5 tonight, hopfully i can post up many many pikies for you guys.

4.5 hours to go...... "how long is this going to take!!!!!" madagasgar lol

well its 12:11 now i just got home.....tired.

he finished with the car at 10:00

for $1650 i got

- new ef front bar
- new sill / b piller
- paint whole left side
- paint mirrors
- el passenger door handle (no lock)
- paint some interior bits
- fit suspension
- cut + polish whole car

the work is perfect, looks great.
the suspension looks good, a little higher in back but it has no fuel, and next to nothing the the gas tank, so when i put gas/subs back in it should sit pretty flat.

wow, going from sumthing that is higher than stock to barely legal is a huge change, depth perseption is waaay out, it feels really wide, ah well i'll get used to it

i still have to get a wheel alignment done, and put the interior back in, tomorrow.

i dont jave pics at the moment (hopefully tomorrow) because dad lent out the digi camera.

My car with superlows all round sits dead even with nothing in the boot. If you had a gas tank full, subs, and full petrol it would definately sag in the back and look like a commodore (horrible!!).

I think the super low front and low back is a good idea. Cars look their best when they are level, or very very slightly higher at the back.

You said it, very very slightly higher in the back, not 2inchs higher.

actually, normally i hate taking sides in an argument, but a full tank of gas, and a full audio install will make the rear sit lower, so if you put lows on the rear and super lows on the front then with all that weight it wud sit level.

EXCH45R you seem to be mouthing off for the sake of it. On one hand you argue that superlow front and low back with Noisuf is f**k up, and then your agreeing with Hornet that it'd be level with the weight in the back anyway. I suggest keep flaming where it belongs and let the techie's do their work!
If anyone has pics of the Superlows at the front with Lows at the back would love to see them.

Damn straight, one thing I can't stand is when a car sags backwards. Now that's the big American tank look.
If I lower my car I might do it without the spare tyre in it. But I won't go Lows all round if the a** is gonna sag with the sub and amps and s**t.

Not any one person is "right" or "wrong" here, seriously!

I can tell you FROM experience with actually having the following setups FITTED to my cars that it can go both ways!

In my 1st car, i6, had superlows in the rear and fronts were lows as my front sat very low for "lows" for some reason, checked them n all was good, nothing wrong just sat lower.. wso put superlows in back, all good.
Now in the fbt i got superlows all round n found the front to sit WAY too low again (back end being higher) so put lows in front to even it out perfectly.

Go figure; take this experience however you like but every car is different, springs and shocks are different... all you can do is guess how it will sit; ie having gas n audio, guess the back with sit lower, so pop lows in the rear... use your head as its pretty simple lol.
