Hey all,
I've been told by a few ppl that with a bit of work you can put a BA front end on your AU.. if its true or not I dont know but the question is.. Can you put an AU XR front end on a BA ? some may ask WHY? but it's just a thought and I like the idea! if it was possible I would do it in a flash.... Phil. I think you have to replace the radiator support panel, and possibly the skirts.

So all you need to do is Replace the support panel for the radiator, replace quaters and front bar?

has been done before. involves a lot of work tho. Radiator support, Bonnets hinge diffrently. etc. I dont know if the Barra will fit under a "low series" au bonnet-as used on the XR's.

It would take some work...maybe keep the BA bonnet and graft gaurds and front bar on.
I can picture it in my head...it's...interesting...haha. I love your signature hahaha!

See i ask because I wouldnt mind putting BA interior into my AU one day also I like the shape of the AU XR utes and its something diff... so i thought in stead of stuffing around with the ba interior, motor etc... just get a BA and put the au front on....

Yes, correct, but I repeat, they pretty much have the same BODY (shell) design, from firewall back, and the butt is reshaped.
So an au on the ba would match up close with bodylines.

So an au on the ba would match up close with bodylines. the door and door jams are the same, everything else is different, thats for the interior anyway to fit a BA interior to an AU PROPERLY you would have to cut out the firewall and floor of a BA and weld it into an AU event then you'd have trouble getting the read seats to fit properly, front end swap sounds easier to me...
