Just used Meguirs Quick Clay detailing system for the first time today. The results were amazing. I have a white EL XR8 and the paint was begining to show signs of oxidation and was getting rough and showing quite a lot of small spots and hard to remove stains. Spent about 3 hours with the quick clay and the paintwork is now smooth as glass and whiter than ever. This is the best paint care product that i have ever used. The best part is it only cost $32 for the quick clay and $12 for 3 microfibre cloths. this is definately money well spent. :D :D :D :D

Nah shouldn't take 3 hours next time. the reason it took so long, It's the first time i used it so there was a fair bit of oxidation to remove. the paint should remain smooth and glassy for at least a year as long as i polish it every 6 months. The way the clay works is you spray the provided detailing spray onto your paintwork and then rub the clay over it. The clay works like an eraser and lifts the dirt and oxidation from the paint. It's simple and you can't go wrong.

I bought mine at repco. Just look on the Meguiars Australia website and it shows you all the distributors around australia. I reckon it's better than buffing as it doesn't remove any paint or leave swirl marks.

yeah this is tops stuff. i got mine from repco.

When u clay the paint u dont realise how much s**t was on there. u have a look at all the dirt etc stuck to the clay bar when youre done.

deffinatley worth the money. gets the paint feeling like glasswork

I've always been curious as to how those clay bars work...

I have a white EL XR6...so if it brought yours up schmick, I might give mine a go...

so its easy to use...? Do you need to wax or anything after using the clay?

The clay's job is to remove everything ON the paint (but not the paint) So yes a good polish then wax will be required to protect your paint again.
