Hey guys, i am on my P plates and recently bought an 07 Falcon XT BF MK2, to be honest im new to the whole idea of modding cars up. I guess what i am getting at is it is possible to mod up my car to look like an XR6 with things like Body kit ect ect..
Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers. Martin.

Hi mtrain,

Modding up and XT to look like an XR is quite easy... yet can be expensive. If you are after genuine parts, it will be very pricey. You will need to change the front headlights to fit the front bar, get the full body kit and the wheels. Then get it painted. My advice is to not make it look like an XR, but to just mod your XT tastefully. Lower it onto some nice wheels, tint the windows. Im not sure on P plate laws in NSW, but if your allowed, put on a exhaust and some extractors and you'd be good to go.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

yeh,
it can get expensive quick, look around at some other XT's and kits not requiring
the XR headlights.
The XT's can look real good if done right.

lower it.
decent rims 19 inch plus!
de badge.
limo tints.
tint rear tail lights(tint shade's) (sprayed tastefully though not BLACK AS NIGHT)

Above will have a nice head turning ride....

ENGINE mods..
Extractors/2.5 inch exhaust/ high flow cat.
3 inch mandrel intake or add typhoon extra snorkel.
flash tune.

The above will give the falcon a kick in the pants..

Thanks for the help, ive been looking into body kits and they are quite pricey,
My cars red so im thinking Black 18's, 19's are an option but i live in a country town and i will have to face some dirt roads at some points so that's a kick in the teeth.
As for the tint and extractors + lowering is def a good idea, as well as clear tail lights + debadging.
The stock body kit isn't actually all that bad so once the above is done it should look fine.

I happen to know where a manual conversion is too! No Turbo conversion, LSD FTW though!
