Hey guys

Just thought id keep you ppl up to date with how my mods are going.
I had couple topics posted about 7 months ago with some photoshop pics of my car

So far everything is going as planned.

Had the car resprayed in the same colour because my front end was actually flaking from the previous paint job by who ever done it and also had the EL XR body kit fitted which i got off Bob from Canberra Car Styling

But this paint job has taken me 7 months and is still going because of some 'knuckle head' that im dealing with (as the 3 stooges would put it)

Firstly 5 months for a paint job before i got my car back the first time which was start of march??? (and i was calling him weekly... almost daily coz he wouldnt return calls)

then took it back with 35 things listed that i wanted fixed including my sunroof, roof lining, car alarm (still not working - windows dont go up automatically when the car is locked and my alarm wont go off!)
He completed 5 out of 35!?

Honestly i could go on and on about this goose
he had a sissy fit coz he said we were treating him like a child and that we think he doesnt know his own work???
OBVIOUSLY!? LOL

But now i got the VACC tackling this idiot and if he doesnt listen ill take him to VCAT (Automotive Tribunal) and get my money back, only costs $30 to go

(Do NOT take your car to GP Alexander in Clayton, VIC - i can not stress this enough LOL)

thats the biggest headache but anyway

Interior guy was such a piece of cake... i got him through my mum coz she does payroll for Honda and Alfa Romeo and this guy retrims some of their cars, does some custom work and supposedly has a good rep in the Melbourne area.

From the get go i know this guy knew wat he was on about.
He wrote down in point form everything i wanted done and he done everything exact

So now my ELECTRIC LTD seats are in black leather with gold stiching, same as the LTD back seat (they are all so comfortable :D ) and my LTD leather arm rests and also the door handle surround is in a tan/gold leather look vinyl

Couldnt be happier with him

They were working on another Chev at the time and a couple of convertibles
some of the pics in his workshop looked pretty good too

So anyway heres the pictures

I know you cant see any of the imperfections with the paint work
the straight panels are good but there was other stuff like the edges, door handles, my front mesh which they sprayed gold and i told them to replace when they were trying to tell me it was already gold??? LOL
is this NOT my car???

So now all thats left is black carpet & custom black mats, retrim dash and door trims, recolour plastics (which i have been doing myself and are so much better than i expected) and then gotta install my new speakers and put my alpine head unit back in (took out my old sytem and put it into my parents fairmont)

what you think guys?

am i heading towards the good side of the force?

Those seats are unbelievable. I want! I want!
Not a huge fan of the colour - too baby poo-ish for me.
Any chance we could see some pics of the arm rests and the rest of the interior?

damn those seats have come up awesome.
what did the retrimming of the seats cost?
seems not many ppl get the stock pattern retrimmed so it'd be interesting to see the price :)

the seats seems quite simular design from the 2000ish mustang ones from memory...
i love em. look real sweet.
hard to gauge on the color cause its inside. take a photo on a sunny day...
agree with the lights needing to be tinted...
apart from that, looks awsome. you plannin on gettin new rims?
what about a spoiler?

I dont really like the tinted lights, ive seen them on a car like mine (same colour mind you) from SA
1) i dont want to copy him and 2) i like the clean look of the stock EF lights anyway

The upholsterer...
1) Retrimmed the seats (as you can see to the stock design which i think looks better in the black)
2) Arm rests and door handle surrounding area
3) Auto shifter, hand brake handle and hand brake boot
4) FPV symbol on all 4 seats
5) New cushions for front seats
6) Plastics on the seats were also coloured black

All for somewhere between $2500-$3500
(if i told you the exact price i got all this for i would have to kill you 8-) )

Rims i have sitting at home, nice new 18inch sitting in boxes waiting... tyres also sitting at home, 4 x Dunlop SP3000A... just recolouring the plastics at the moment, took 2 weeks off from wednesday this week
It helps having a 4 car garage... lots of room to do stuff and not worry about parts laying around
so ill try do as much as i can in the 2 weeks i got off
only prob is i gotta take the car back to the sprayer :x
