These rims have made me realise just how high the EL is.. it really needs to be lowered about 5 inches.

I put the rims on and then gave it a hose because it had a layer of dust on it from lack of use.. but the height makes even those 18 inch rims look small...

Have to put the XR6 front and rear suspension in and that should lower it significantly at which point I'll evaluate if I should lower it further with superlows.

looking better though.... very happy.

Good pick-up frankieh  ...wish I could get a set for the same price in that condition, been looking for a while.

The rims are in good condition but aren't the best, the front left has some pretty bad gutter rash from early morning driving.

PM me a pic of the rims if you're serious about offloading them......I know of a workshop not far from me that can repair them :)

After :D

I would go SL's front and rear as well. I only have Lows in the back in the After pic above, but that will be changing this arvo :D

Cheers,
Mick

How hard is it to change the rear springs?

I've done the fronts before, but the EA was a ghia with auto leveler which I turned and the back settled right down to match the SL's on the front.. is it an easy enough job?

Springs are a piece of piss to do mate, if you can do the fronts you can do the rear.

To do the rears you have to undo the shock top and bottom, and the shock drops down out of the way, then all you do is swap the springs, slap the shock back in and do er up.

I scored a set of BA XR 17s today for $300 with 2 new tyres. At a farm auction lol.

Just did my rears again this arvo....started at about 4:30 and was all done by 6 :) One thing to remember is that you need to tighten the lower shock mounts with full weight of the vehicle down, preferably on a set of ramps so you can get under there. The Nut and bolt for the lower mount are 18" and the nut for the top shock mount is 17", plus you will need a shifter to hold the top shaft in position when you are removing/replacing the nut. Like was said earlier....a piece of piss mate :D
Here's a quick update from lows as seen earlier to the supers now in there :D Quite a bit of difference between the lows and supers

That looks sweet dude.. thanks for the info..

Interesting that the only real diff you can see between low and super is that super has one less coil.... Wonder if the temper is different as well...
