Hey guys,
what are my options for my EBii as in changing the front end, this morning the wrecker told
me an EA bonnet wouldnt even fit cos of the grill or something. I want to upgrade/change the
front end(not necessarily the guards, but its an option.
It seems that good EB bonnets are hard to find, and XR front ends are harder still, not to mention
Id have to save for a few weeks to afford one.

So which bonnets, bumpers etc are compatible with my EBii please.
thanx

matt
P.S. is there a thread or site anyone knows of?

EB-ED bonnets are the same, the grille is an attachment, I bought an after market one cheaper then sourcing a 2nd hand one from the wreckers.
Go here to see pics of my front end being repaired:http://www.fordmods.com/the-garage-f53/the-front-end-repair-job-eb-5-0l-xr-front-end-t69204.html

Man that looks awesome, just what I have in my head for mine.
What's your advice for getting a good bonnet(financially), as they are getting hard to find ,
in near perfect cond. anyway.
cheers mate

ea,eb and ed bonnets will fit straight on each other...
the only difference is the ea has the oval in the bonnet for the ford badge.
eb bonnet is the same as ea except no oval for badge and eb2 has a rubber weather strip at the rear of the bonnet.
ed bonnet will fit ea and eb but the grill mounting is different and a ed grill must be used with ed bonnet..

You can fit the ef/el falcon front gaurds bonnet and bumper but you also need to swap out the radiator support I think

you can fit an ef front if the complete radiator support is replaced but i think it looks stupid... the difference in shape from front to back looks wrong...

This is spot on. To elaborate on this, many EA owners (me included) fit an EB bonnet, but keep the EA grille to debadge the front for a cleaner look.

Hi Matt

Do you need to replace yours because it is damaged or because you just want to modify it?

Cheers

Thanx guys, got some options now,

Benj,
A bit of both man, my bonnet is dented right where the latch is welded,
so repairs aint worth it, it has other small dents etc anyway, loooks like crap.
SO, while im at it, thinking of somethin diffrent, just a change you know.
I've owned 3 EBii's now, I left the others as they were, im not content with that this time

Well have a browse through my build thread and see what can be done with the front end.

The BA headlight mod is a good one for a custom xr ish look, and of course the bonnet. As for bumper bars, there are a few available off the shelf in the after-market world, and custom bars are also doable.

Cheers
BenJ
