$700 sounds very cheap especially including fitting and that it's getting painted in two colours! i would of said around the grand mark.
fit it yourself should be cheaper that way.
when you've been getting quotes have you actually showed them the kit? they might just be going on the exxy side to cover there a*** if they havn't seen the kit in the flesh yet.

The guy who did my complete respray was about that much to do just the kit and fit it...

Lynch's Panel Refinishing
Richard St Mitcham

*edit* That price was for colour matching in one colour...

my venom front and rear for my old EF was quoted at $800-$1000 dependant on the condition, in the end it got done for $900. thats was just 2 bars. I would have thought around the $1000 mark would be applicable for a kit consisting of skirts.

well i havnt bought got the kit yet, still to be delivered. so cant show the guy in real life at the moment, but i explained that it was the whole bar.

as for fitting the kit myself, i want it done properly so there are no gaps, im worried that if i do it myself i wont fit it correctly.

is there a difference in price between painting a fibreglass kit, or a plastic kit, caz both the guys asked wat the material was..?

the genuine tickford kits (plastic) are a lot harder to prepare for painting that the aftermarket (fiberglass) ones.
