has anyone painted there rocker cover on a ef? i have a gli in mocha cream and goin to spray it with the VHT engine paint gold. should look really nice but i am after pics and instructions thanks

just make sure when you put the rocker cover back on you dont tighten the bolts to much or you can crack the rocker cover.

try posting this in the six cylinder workshop..
there was a thread on hear with heaps of moded engine so your best bet would be to brouse the site..

A better and longer lasting approach (It will cost more initially) is to have it powdercoated...have seen it done but don't know what it would cost

i was quoted $70 to powder coat an ef tappet cover, but you dont need to use any fancy paints. i have done a few tappet covers with the cheap export paint from supercheap and its is fine as long as you sand and clean the cover corectly. if you want a pic look at my avatar
