Hi guys, just read the doco on re-doing the black plastic around the windows.. i was just wondering if anyone had any other success stories or other ways of doing it? whats the best paint and such.. thanks :D

mine is only peeling on my back window..

The black trim around your rear window is only available bonded to the glass. In other words, to replace it you have to replace the whole rear window. Expensive fix; or "lucky break" if your insurance will cover it...

I would try Bumper Spray cos it's a one step coating, no undercoat required. I used this on my side window mouldings and it came up fine.
Super cheap sell the stuff.

The real hassle with your back window would be preparing the trim cos you'd have to sand the old finish smooth first. Very fiddly and some risk to surrounding paint. I have been putting off doing mine for about two years now!
