is this classified as an accident as it leaves damage on your car? what rights do we have against those with 500 dollar bombs who slam their car doors into our cars which we happen to take pride in?

This is the thing that sh*ts me the most about owning a car. Others who slam doors into your car  Im *this* close to talking to my boss to see the cctv footage of the carpark to find out who it is. I work in a club so if its a regular...... :x :x
I dont park in there anymore.

I try to park next to more expensive cars, and never near bombs or 4WDs. Also if possible, park so only one side of your car is exposed (e.g. next to a pole or wall).

But of course, you can't help who parks next to you if people come and go.

My wife subaru liberty got a big dent to her door when she parked one side exposed and the other next to a porsche cayeene 4wd. FFS you think a porsche driver would have some respect for cars but there you go. s**t me every time l drive as it looks at you in the side mirror as if it's teasing me

I did say 4WDs. No 4WD owner has any respect for anyone but themselves, if they did they wouldn't be driving a 4WD on the roads.

I don't care if people abuse me I always park as far away fro m the door to the shop and take up two parking spaces. That way no one has an excuse get that close to my car or my ute! 8-)

my wagon got a dent in it at vic market,i ended up waiting 2 hours for the person to come back to there car, then had an arguement with them cause they wouldn't except responsibility.Finially i got the lady to open her door and it matched up to the same spot on my car.She paid to have the dent removed, cost her about $70.00 i think but it was still a pain in the a*** for me,and yes it was a 4wd honda crv.

Yeah i try to park next to other modified cars, as i know they would be like me and take pride in their cars. And yeah sometimes if you park on the end of a row in a carpark, you get d***head in commodores that park so close to you its almost impossible to get out of your spot without scratching a rim, yeah happened to me, only just scraped the rim.
