Can you install a power antenna on a auII forte. I need to get one im so sick of these smart a*** little f**k bending mine or breaking it off completely. Can any one help please before i get violent with these little f**k!!!!!!!!!!! :evil: :evil: :evil: How much is it gonna cost????? and how hard is it??????

go to super s**t auto and they got brand new aerpro "fully automatic" antennas which are a direct replacment for the manual antenna. They'll set you back about $100. They also come with instructions on how to fit it up

yes - it is sad people seem to get their kicks out of plain vandalism ... i put the factor pwr one on mine a couple of weeks after i got it. Looks cleaner and much safer from the little s**t!

Thought just the fairmonts came with electric, mines a forte II no electric antenna either :(

i got a au2 and mymanual one is so hard to pull out
hey if u get the electric one can u post how to do it cause im lookin to go electric as well

Ive got an EFII XR and my antenna is manual, but my mate reckons they came with electric ones. is this true and does that mean i can just get an electric one from a wreckers and put it straight on?

you hook up a positive and a ground to the antenna.
there will be another 3rd wire which hooks up to the stereo, so when you turn it on, the antenna goes up.
On aftermarket stereo's, you usually hook this up to the blue wire.
I don't know if the AU Forte has an output for one, but if not, just hook it up to accessories instead.
The only downside is while the CD player is on, the antenna will still be up.
