does anyone know how to fix the mounts on the rear bar of an EL Falcon, my mounts on the side have broken where it screws into the bar.

get another rear bar?? :wink: ive tried instant dry super glue... -that didnt work... perhaps silastic and fibre flass might work...

Bostick make a glue suitable for ABS plastics. Similar to Araldite, but better I think.

I've used it to glue parts of a front bar back together and they are still holding over 18 months on.

Worst case, I'm sure you could find someone who can do plastic welding.

try using araldite sellys 5 minute everyday epoxy adhesive comes with 2 tubes with 4 ml white tube is epoxy resinpart a and red tube is epoxy hardner exelent for the following
china
metal
glass
leather
rubber
wood
most plastics

i found araldite prettty useless on bumper plastics.

Agreed JW. It doesn't weld the plastics together properly...

Hence why I suggested the Bostik product. You may have noticed that the bumper of the Blue Ghia is still holding together properly since I glued it. :D

what mount exactly is broken as its common on ef/el the little slide in clip (towards the rear of the bar/car)bust and its just a matter of replacing them as with the bolt (the one just inside the gaurd/wheel arch )is pop rivited onto the bar and the the other mount are the ones the rio support bolt to
